Team approach to cleft palate care
Our team meets with a pediatric patient and their parents/guardians, shares information about what to expect during the cleft palate procedure and then together designs an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan. The team approach ensures excellent quality of care and provides patients and their families with coordinated, ongoing treatment and reevaluation, as appropriate.
Our team includes specialists working together from all types of medical specialties, including:
- Oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Pediatric dentistry
- Plastic surgery
- Speech therapy
Child and family-friendly center
The Rose Cleft Palate & Craniofacial Center is family-centered and patient-oriented. All examinations take place in a child- and family-friendly environment. We do our best to handle all aspects of the initial evaluation in one day, as we know that visits to the doctor can be challenging with little ones. Our goal is to make this experience as pleasant as possible for you, your child and your family.
Comprehensive, ongoing care
Our patients receive ongoing care that typically includes several years of treatment. Successful treatment is achieved gradually and carefully through a series of well-planned reconstructive surgeries that coordinate all aspects of a patient’s treatment throughout the years. We are committed to providing the best, long-term care for our patients and their families.
