Your mammogram is complete and the images have been captured. Now what?

Our Center is run by two highly trained and experienced radiologists, who have a special focus on imaging of the breast. They have been leaders in the field of mammography for more than 50 years combined. One of these expert physicians is always on site at the Rose Breast Center to talk you through any questions or concerns.

After your screening, one of our radiologists personally reviews and analyzes your images within 24 hours of your exam. If the results are normal, you will receive a phone call from our team along with a letter in the mail regarding your results within 10 days.

What if Something Concerning is Found?

If our radiologist finds something abnormal in your images, our team will contact you within two business days of your appointment to schedule a follow-up visit. This visit may involve taking additional images and/or performing a biopsy, both of which are done in the Rose Breast Center. If further care is needed, you will be connected with Rose's dedicated Nurse Navigator who will help guide you through the next steps.

For patients with non-cancerous (benign) tumors, the Novilase ILT provides a minimally invasive option to surgery. Rose Medical Center is one of the first hospitals in the country to offer Novilase ILT, an image-guided laser ablation device used to treat fibroadenomas (non-malignant tumors).

If your screening mammogram and/or breast ultrasound results in a cancer diagnosis, rest assured that we are here for you. As an American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accredited cancer program, we take pride in providing multidisciplinary care that helps save lives.
