Therapy to help you get back to everyday activities

Many health conditions can be improved through therapy. Rose Medical Center's therapy programs include:

Physical Therapy

For patients who have an injury or a condition that limits their ability to move, physical therapy can aid recovery. The physical therapy department at Rose works closely with other departments to improve total health for our patients. We begin working with patients immediately after surgery — and throughout their stay — to reduce pain while improving movement.

Occupational Therapy

Patients who have conditions or injuries that limit their ability to do everyday tasks can benefit from occupational therapy to maintain or resume independent living. The occupational therapy program at Rose focuses on cognitive/perceptual deficits and activities of daily living (ADL), including:

  • Returning to work
  • Resuming leisure activities
  • Increased safety at home
  • Independent dressing and bathing

Speech Therapy

Our speech therapy program offers prevention, screening, consultation, assessment and diagnosis, treatment, intervention, management, counseling, and follow-up services for disorders of:

  • Speech
  • Language
  • Swallowing
  • Cognitive aspects of communication

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program helps patients manage and recover from:

  • Chest Pain
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
  • Coronary Stenting
  • Heart Attack
  • Heart Valve Surgery

Our program is designed to help our patients maintain their heart health, gain strength and stamina, return to work faster, lower their blood pressure and exercise in a supervised setting.
