Rose was one of the first hospitals in Colorado to offer InterStim® Therapy for Urinary Incontinence, and Rose physicians have been using this advanced therapy since 1999. It treats the symptoms of overactive bladder, including urinary urge incontinence and symptoms of urinary urgency or frequency.
How InterStim® Therapy Works
InterStim®Therapy targets the communication problem between the brain and the nerves that control the bladder. By using mild electrical stimulation of the sacral nerves, it can influence the behavior of the bladder and reduce issues like bladder leaks.
To determine if you are a candidate for InterStim® Therapy, talk with your physician. Patients are given the opportunity to test the therapy before making a long-term commitment.
In a long-term clinical study, 59% of patients with urge incontinence had 50% fewer leaks per day.
