Robotic and Laparoscopic Women's Procedures
Robotic surgery is the most advanced type of minimally invasive surgery available today. Rose Medical Center pioneered usage of the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System to treat women's health conditions.
In fact, Rose Medical Center performs more robotic gynecological surgeries than any other hospital in Colorado. In addition, our team offers minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical techniques for patients who may not be eligible for robotic surgery.
The following surgeries are all available both robotically and laparoscopically:
A repair of a relaxed vagina in which the vagina is sutured to the abdominal wall.
Surgery that gives the team better assessment of the patient's body to diagnose a condition.
Excision of Endometriosis
Used to diagnose and treat endometriosis, the surgeons use extreme heat to destroy growths and scar tissue or remove them .
Removal of the uterus.
Removal of uterine fibroids (non-cancerous growths in the uterine wall). A primary benefit of robotic Myomectomy is the opportunity for future pregnancies following this procedure.
Removal of an ovarian cyst.
Removal of the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
A sterilization procedure to close the fallopian tubes. Rose is one of the few hospitals in Denver to offer tubal ligation.
