Colorado’s Leader in Providing Compassionate Breast Care, Advanced Cancer Diagnostics and Treatment
The Rose Total Breast Care program delivers the highest quality of care for the diagnosis and treatment of breast tumors and breast cancer. Our specialists are experts recognized not only in Colorado but across the country.
Our physicians are leading the way in breast cancer care. Breast tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous, are among the most serious health problems women face today, and receiving a breast cancer diagnosis is especially frightening and confusing. To help you through this difficult time, you need a comprehensive team of medical experts by your side each step of the way.
The Rose Total Breast Care team is a partner in your care from diagnosis to survivorship.
The Rose Breast Care program delivers the highest quality of care for the diagnosis and treatment of breast tumors and breast cancer. Our specialists are experts recognized not only in Colorado but across the country, and in fact Rose is the leading provider of breast cancer care in the state of Colorado.
Our cancer survival outcomes speak for themselves: 91.4% of all Rose breast cancer patients are alive five years after their treatment (compared to an average 86.3% across other Colorado hospitals) and 40.9% our stage IV breast cancer patients are alive five years after treatment — more than 10% higher than the average at other Colorado hospitals (average 29.8% five-year survival rate). Our breast oncology nurse navigators are your advocates, helping to reinforce and support the physician/patient relationship. Their goal is to enhance your quality of life, provide a sense of autonomy and help you manage your own health. By guiding cancer patients with knowledgeable and supportive help, our oncology-trained nurse navigators improve care experiences, assist physicians and maintain quality outcomes.
As you partner in health care, we believe that it is important to equip you with comprehensive educational resources. Our tools give you an in-depth understanding of the disease, treatment options, support networks and long-term outlook. Review our resources here, and always reach out to your nurse navigator if you would like more information about any aspect of your care.
And we are committed to making this process as easy for the patient as we can. For our patients coming from out of town who will need to stay for a few days, we have a travel program for patients with special deals at area hotels. And available for all patients having surgery at Rose, we offer convenient online pre-registration through the MyHealthOne patient portal to document your information and health history, saving you time on the day of surgery.
Commitment to Patients’ Lives After Cancer
Part of our dedication to helping patients live longer, fuller lives following cancer treatment is helping them adjust to a “new normal” in their lives following cancer—something that varies by each patient. Rose’s three dedicated Oncology Nurse Navigators work with their patients to create individualized Survivorship Care Plans, a long-term plan for survivorship that provides patients and their loved ones additional information, resources and tools to help successfully transition to a life after cancer.
The Rose Breast Program is accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), administered by the American College of Surgeons. The American College of Surgeons recognizes cancer care programs for commitment to providing comprehensive, high-quality, multidisciplinary patient centered care – a distinction earned by only 25 percent of hospitals nationwide. By choosing an accredited program, you are assured that the program is leading-edge, comprehensive and committed to quality. Rose is proud to offer Hidden Scar™ Breast Cancer Surgery, an advanced surgical approach where cancerous tissue is removed through a single incision made in an inconspicuous area, resulting in less visible scarring. And our Rose Radiation Oncology department received accreditation in 2015 by the American College of Radiology.
