FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Denver, Colo. – November 4, 2016 – New Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, which assign A, B, C, D and F letter grades to hospitals nationwide and provide the most complete picture of patient safety in the U.S., were announced today by The Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog. Rose Medical Center once again earned an “A,” accomplishing the difficult task of being awarded Straight “A’s” since the inception of the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade in 2012. Rose Medical Center is one of 72 hospitals out of over 2,600 across the country to attain this honor.
“We are truly proud to have earned Straight A’s from Leapfrog for four years in a row. This grade reflects the tireless commitment by the entire team at Rose to quality and safety for our patients and visitors,” says Kenneth Feiler, president and CEO of Rose Medical Center.
“Earning Straight ‘As’ in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is a remarkable achievement and testament to a hospital’s ongoing vigilance and commitment to patient safety,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We thank Rose Medical Center for being an example of excellence in preventing harm to patients, and urge you to continue championing patient safety.”
Developed under the guidance of an expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. It is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public
