Heart Rehabilitation, Denver
The Heart & Vascular Center at Rose is dedicated to not only treating our patients' initial heart concerns, but also to help them recover and increase strength and stamina.
Our comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program helps patients who have been treated for:
- Chest Pain
- Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
- Coronary Stenting
- Heart Attack
- Heart Valve Surgery
Our program is designed to help patients maintain their heart health, gain strength and stamina, return to work faster, lower blood pressure and exercise in a supervised setting.
What to Expect
A typical session includes 40 minutes of aerobic activity and 20-25 minutes of stretching and strength exercises. Each Wednesday, our team offers heart education on various topics such as cholesterol, dietary guidelines, high blood pressure and cardiac medications.
We offer two levels of cardiac rehabilitation:
Phase 2 Cardiac Rehabilitation
Phase 2 is acute rehabilitation for patients recovering from myocardial infarction (MI), stenting, chest pain, open heart surgery or heart transplant. This program typically is covered by a patient's insurance.
Phase 3 Cardiac Maintenance
This level is for patients who finish acute rehabilitation and would like to continue to exercise in a safe, monitored setting. This is an out-of-pocket, self-pay program. Phase 3 Cardiac Maintenance also is open to those who have two or more risk factors for cardiovascular disease, as diagnosed by a physician.
