Why Choose Us?
When selecting specialists to provide cancer care, you want the very best. At Rose Medical Center, we offer a comprehensive cancer program that treats each patient as an individual.
Superior Cancer Patient Results
Rose Medical Center's team approach to treatment, which places the patient at the center of care, leads to better outcomes or results. The 1000+ patients we diagnose and treat each year notice the difference and they are surviving longer as a result. Looking at our five-year survival rates, which record whether a patient is living five years after treatment, Rose's rates are better than the Colorado average for the top five cancers we treat (breast, lung, colorectal, uterine & ovarian).

Multidisciplinary Approach to Cancer Care
Typically, cancer is complicated and the proper care involves specialists from many backgrounds such as medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology and surgery, all working together. At Rose, our specialists have ongoing communications about their patients in order to provide the best care possible. One example is our weekly case conferences where doctors from many specialties gather to discuss patient cases anonymously, providing input and recommendations based on their area of expertise.

Honored Accreditation from the Commission on Cancer
In recognition of our multidisciplinary, team approach to care in a teaching environment and our ability to treat many different types of cancer, Rose Medical Center has attained the Teaching Hospital Cancer Program (THCP) accreditation from the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer (CoC).
Patient & Caregiver Support Services
In addition to medical care, successfully tackling cancer often requires more. Support and education are also important components of a comprehensive program. Some of Rose's cancer support services include:
- Cancer Resource Center: Through a partnership with the American Cancer Society we provide information about cancer for patients and their families, wigs and prostheses, and support groups and educational programs, including "Look Good, Feel Better."
- Cancer Patient Navigator: Our trained specialists offer free, confidential support to cancer patients and those who care for them.
Cancer Clinical Trials & Research
Sometimes traditional or standard therapies are not effective for more complex cancers, but that's not a reason to give up hope. Our team is constantly exploring the latest treatment options available, as well as the most innovative techniques for the detection and prevention of cancer. One way to access these advancements is through clinical or research trials. Rose partners with the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers to offer patients access to national studies.
